Does anyone know the best place to send a SmartBoard for repairs or know of someone that visits and repairs them? (boxing it up will be a challenge)
I have one that is only 1.5 years old and it seems the sensors are all messed up ... it is very flakey ... software works fine at the computer ... touching or writing on the board is what is not working properly.
Who did you buy it form? Your SMARTBoard comes with a three year warranty and when you registered it, it should have been extended to 5 years. Did you buy it through one of the Service Coop vendors? If so, I can help you with that.
I have one that is about 6 years old and I have updated the software, replaced the controller module and the power supply and it still does not work. If you get an answer as to who can do on site work, please let me know as well.
I just chatted with Isaiah from Tiernny. They have our statewide contract with SMART. He said to give tehir hotline a call and they will troubleshoot with you and send you parts as needed... His ocntact info follows along with their troubleshooting hotline.
They can call our Tech service department. Just call our main number 612.331.5500 and ask for tech service. They will help trouble shoot and if necessary get them parts.
