AIR is releasing an updated version of the secure browser for Windows and Mac OS X (Intel 10.5/10.6 – 10.8) operating systems tomorrow, July 11. Mac (Power PC) and Linux secure browsers are planned to be released by the end of July. The specific date of the release will be provided in an upcoming Assessment Update.
The table below lists the secure browser versions being released and the supported operating systems for each.

All districts should plan to download and install the new version before the beginning of fall testing. Beginning with the OLPA and October GRAD retests, students will not be permitted to log in if they are using a secure browser that is not supported with the correct operating system version. Online Item Samplers will continue to be accessible via the secure browser or Firefox; the supported versions of Firefox have been updated to versions 3.6–22.
Updated versions of the System Requirements for Online Testing and the Technical Specifications Manual for Online Testing for the 2013–2014 school year should be available by late July. If you have any questions, please contact the AIR Help Desk at 1-877-215-8749 or mnhelpdesk@air.org.
