Technology for 21st Century Learners in Northwest Minnesota

Just wondering what other schools are using for antivirus protection.  Our current AV has ended, and need to get something up and running ASAP.  Anyone ever heard of Thirtyseven4, or used it?  Is the Avast -"free for education" sufficient?

Thanks!

I have three districts using Trend and two using Microsoft. I have registered for the Avast free one, but haven't im
Implemented it yet. Thinking about doing it this summer in one of the Microsoft districts.
Where did you purchase your Trend micro - is it the office scan? Still waiting on a callback from them...

We purchased it from CDWG.  We bought two years up front and got a third year free.  Yes, the Office Scan product.

Lu, were you the one trying to use Avast and ran into problems?

Yes.  The server portion installed fine (tried it on an actual server, as well as on a Windows 7 desktop).  But I couldn't get to it from the end users to install the client portion.   (They didn't send me a separate client package.)

What's your school email?  I'll send you Travis's install notes.
