Smart Finance Software Update

Greetings SMART Finance Users:

On Saturday, May 14th, Region 1 will be installing a new release of the SMART Finance/HR and SMARTeR software.  SMART Finance/HR will be unavailable from midnight Friday until noon on Saturday.

 

Important Notice:  For PC users only (not MACs) you will need to follow the instructions on the attached document that will create new folders on your local computer.  These folders are necessary in order for SMART Finance to function properly.  Since this email is sent to business office personnel only, please share these instructions with all SMART PC users in your district.

 

Below are some of the enhancements you will notice after the release is installed.  Recent enhancements will also be demonstrated and discussed at our annual year-end meetings.

Accounts Payable

• New functionality to copy a voucher has been added.  On the lower right hand corner of any saved voucher there is a Copy feature.  This will copy the existing voucher to a new voucher…just follow the prompts.  In certain circumstances, this might be a good alternative to using the recurring voucher feature.
• For voucher entry, the Account Analysis button window will open based on the row selected.
• The remittance advice report will require a bank code.

Purchase Order

• For requisition and purchase order entry, the Account Analysis button window will open based on the row selected.

Reports

• On the Budget Workpapers report, if a user exits the window or clicks REDO, the system will prompt the user to save their changes.
• A new report folder called ‘Budget Publication’ is available to help fill out the budget publication form.  This will be demonstrated at our yearend meetings.
• A vendor selection option has been added to the Budget Activity report.

System Wide

• The attachment push pin has been replaced by the new Notes feature.
