Moving Google Drive Data to a personal Gmail account

I have a staff member leaving the district and wished to move her Google documents to a personal account.

Looking on the web I see lots of ways to move personal gmail docs into an educational/business domain but have not seen for the reverse. What I have seen talks about legal ownership.

Any suggestion would be helpful.

Google takeout is one option - https://www.google.com/settings/takeout

And the other option would be to have them create a folder in google drive and move all their stuff they want to keep to that folder. Then download it. It creates a zipped file. They then unzip it and import the folder to their personal drive folder.
