Moodle

Who among you is/are using Moodle? In what ways do you use it and how difficult is it to implement? Do you host it on your own webserver or do you have it hosted off-site? Any information would be helpful as I have a teacher who wants to have Moodle here at Indus School.

We having been using Moodle for several years. The first year we paid another company to host it, but then moved it in-house to a virtual server. Doing that helped cut down traffic on our internet connection and saved us some money. Our primary use is for student classes. Some staff use all the capabilities including the quiz and assignment modules and some just use it a syllabus/resource page for the class. We also use it for professional development.
