Technology for 21st Century Learners in Northwest Minnesota

I am wondering what area districts are using for teacher classroom interactive devices. We are still using the old dinosaur SMART Board 600 series in our classrooms which I believe were put into service in 2011. We are looking at replacing these units, and I'm wondering if you are willing to share your pros and cons to the devices your teaching staff is currently using. Thank you in advance for replying!

We switched from the Smartboard to Viewsonic viewboards.  We use 75" boards for most teachers and have 2 90" boards in the science classrooms.  They are pretty user friendly, the teachers have adapted really well.  We changed them all out last year.  Stop in and check them out if you want.

What company did you purchase them through?

We only had a few old style smart boards 6 or 7.  We are currently using the Smart Panel 6000 series with many of them on the iRover carts.  I have around 70 total spanning over 4 version of the board.  Range of use is typical with the high flyers to the beginners.  The only problems we have had is with some of the first boards 7-8 years old now are starting to have some issues, couple not related to damaged ports.  We have purchase almost all of them for Tierany now Bluum.

In our ABE program I purchased 2 Newline 75” 4k UHD LED Multi- touch Display Part # TT-7521Q boards this summer. $1950. Considerably cheaper than the Clevertouch boards we have at the other sites. Ordered through CDW.  Newline was great to work with to provide training on their website or with a Zoom meeting. The boards came with a wall mount.  Haven't heard any complaints from the teachers.
