Just curious what your schools are doing for testing...please share. We have started with iPads grade 5 science with the app. We had many issues. We have done some reading on macbook air and apple desktops with the app and had many issues. We have switched to the browser based test and that seems to go better but dealing with Java is fun. What are your findings? Thanks for your input!

We have tested on several platforms. By far the easiest is Chromebooks. Set up the app in the admin console. No logging in, just click it and it runs. No muss, no fuss.
Windows PC's have been a little more finicky, but the app has been pretty stable for us.
Overall it has been better than some years, but still not perfect.

Thank you for your input! Have you done any science yet? That was the worst. We started to worry that maybe the app was just clunky. But hoping for the best because we are relying on it next week with 6 classes testing at once! We have an option to bring in chrome books and with your feedback will strongly consider that.
We already did our science testing on Chromebooks and they have worked great for us also. A few freeze ups on the PC's, but nothing major.
I had a lot of issues testing on Mac OS X last year. In the middle of the testing season last year, I re-imaged the Mac's with Windows and we finished testing with a lot less issues (mostly pearson issues).
I checked with our districts and science testing has not begun yet.

Hi! Here at Fosston we have not done Science yet, but Reading and Math are going quite smoothly. Had a few with error message and needed to restart, but that took care of the problem and the student was able to be Resumed and finish testing without problem. We typically have about 75-85 students testing at once. Some Mac OS X 10.10 Desktops using wired ethernet, some MacBook Air Laptops wirelessly, some Chromebooks wirelessly. All are using the App...much easier than setting up for doing Web based. Chrombooks are Managed and using single app Kiosk Mode. Macs are setup using an admin user login and I set the TestNav app to launch at Login...works fine.

Thank you for your input Carolyn! We at Bagley have finally ironed some things out. We have tried it all and besides the Science on iPads....everything is pretty smooth now too. We started with science though...and I think just because of the size of the testing files and all the video...it ran pretty clunky for us. Is it June yet???
