Mary Mehsikomer, Minnesota E-Rate Coordinator for Schools, will conduct a statewide E-rate workshop on November 22, 2011. The workshop will be conducted in two segments. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Mary will provide an overview of the E-rate application process from start to finish, including technology planning requirements, eligible services, and the step-by-step process of applying for E-rate. From 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Mary Mehsikomer and Cindy Olson, Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium (ARCC), will provide an E-Rate Program Tools and Update session that will encompass new information on the program, including recent codification of rules relating to gifts from vendors, changes to eligible services, and tools on the SLD website applicants can use to track application status, reimbursements and more.

 

The workshop will originate from TIES and will be delivered over Interactive Television (ITV) to several other locations throughout the state.
