Google Drive Transfer

Hello,

We have a few teacher who are leaving the district and they want to retain their Drive documents.  Can we transfer their Drive docs to a personal account?

Hi Kyle,

I have not done this, but I do know you need to Share it and Transfer Ownership, because if you do not transfer ownership and the original is deleted, it will be deleted from whom ever it was shared with too.

Google Takeout will let you download any data in your google account.

If it is not on, you will need to turn on Google Takeout:

1. Go to your Admin console.

2. Click on Apps.

3. Click on Additional Google Services.

4. In the blue Filter Bar click on the ‘X’ that you’ll see at the right side of the page.

5. Scroll down to 'Google Takeout'

6. Click on the three dots on the right and enable the service.
