Dates for our January Meeting

I'm looking to change up our meeting for January.

 

What would be some good dates for the following?

 

Cisco has invited Superintendants and Technology Coordinators down to see there Cisco Tela Presence Room (ITV) and how it works with their Chicago Active Collaboration Room.

( ITV and how to intergrade it with your smartboards)

 

At Ties I learned that Cisco Purchased Tandberg Company and had a chance to talk to Skip Tasker.

If you are looking at or doing ITV instruction I think this would be a great trip to see what the possibilities are with ITV and how can we make instruction for the Teacher, easier and seamless.

 

I have talked with Mary Mehsikomer.

 

I have Also asked to look at their IP phone solutions. At one time we talked about looking at getting the NWSC area all on a IP phone system. It could be time to talk about that again.

 

So it looks like it could be a full day down in Bloomington.

 

Paul said they can get corporate rates for hotels.

 

also thinking since we are down in the metro area probably we could look up Jeff Kientiz at Young America http://central.k12.mn.us/

 (the tech that used to be up in Roseau before Mike) and get a tour of his building.

That sounds good as our meeting room was double booked on the meeting date in January. So the meeting couldn't be held here anyway. YAY for the .ning site to be up and running again!

MSBA is the 13th, so that week is probably bad.  Maybe the last week of January.  If we could roll this meeting and the NWSC Admin Forum together it might entice more Superintendents to attend...
